Solo Women In Puglia

Sorelle in Salento, which I have written about recently here and here will be a not for profit association to help and support women thinking of buying in or moving to Puglia or who have just moved. It will also promote female led businesses and organise events and activities for both Italian and expat women.

It has taken a while, due to other work commitments, but we should be up and running (after endless Italian red tape) mid May. To celebrate this there will be a big launch party and a whole week of activities from May 22-29th (with some on the final weekend of May as well). During this week we will also be running residential breaks for women wanting to explore the area and join in with some or all the activities as well.

I am really excited about all of this and looking forward to it happening. We have run two events so far to raise awareness, and had 30 women attending, with both Italians and over 10 other nationalities! Everyone had a great time, the feedback was very positive and I am sure this will continue.

Activities in our May week will include wine tasting, cooking lessons, yoga, massages, trips to explore the local area, beach trips, talks, meals out and lots of delicious food and wine. Accommodation is available from 2- 7 nights, in Nardo, though we hope to also have some rooms available for people attending the launch party..

The residential break is aimed at women who want to get to know the general area, meet and talk to women who are already here or just have a holiday, with great company when they want it, but also time to do their own thing. All accommodation will be women only.

As part of the initiative we plan to develop a fully managed property where women can be co owners, and use the property as a base to explore the area, while they are looking for their own property, or just for holidays. (for example see here https://personalpuglia.com/2025/11/23/palazzetto-toma-a-permanent-base-for-holidays-a-temporary-home-from-home-or-just-a-good-investment/).

These will be for short stays (up to 3 months) but furlater on we will also be developing properties for co living with no time limits, either individual apartments with some communal space or shared houses.

I will be hosting a series of webinars about co ownership/co living in Puglia. The first one will be on April 19th at 4 pm CET

If you are already in Puglia and would like to be kept informed of activities, if you are interested in the May residential break (or future dates), or if you are interested in shared properties and/or webinars please fill out the form below
